BMW The 4 Concept 2019

There are some exterior parts of BMW "The 4 Concept" built in Rhino grasshopper. 

The whole pattern geometry of the front grill and the mesh were modelled in Grasshopper including the design blend (fillet) surfaces.

Parametric modelling is a optimal tool to match the pattern to surrounding geometry. The pattern could adapt promptly as the grill frame shape developed. 

The mesh behind the grill and on the bumper air intake were also modelled in Rhino Grasshopper. If you look carefully, you can find arrays of number 4 imbedded in the mesh. The numbers were arrayed to follow the pattern of the grill, and surrounding geometry. 

Also the pattern on the headlight was modelled in Grasshopper. 

Concept car project is always very intense, but it is always exciting to see the result of hard work at the Motor show.
